Are you an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse looking to make a meaningful impact in the healthcare sector? As a Quality Nurse Consultant, you will have the unique opportunity to work remotely while guiding individuals from select congregations through their healthcare journeys. This role is crucial as you will coordinate care, attend health appointments, and provide essential insights to help individuals make informed health decisions. Some transportation responsibilities will be involved, where you will safely escort members to their appointments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exemplary care to residents with acute, sub-acute, and chronic conditions, adhering to established care standards.
- Assist and escort members of targeted congregations to their health appointments, facilitating informed decision-making.
- Manage transportation duties, ensuring the safe conveyance of residents to and from appointments while complying with traffic safety regulations.
- Report any unusual situations, incidents, or accidents to your supervisor promptly.
- Aid individuals in safely entering and exiting vehicles while observing traffic safety protocols.
- Implement the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation) to guarantee optimal care, reporting significant changes to healthcare providers.
- Offer guidance and oversight to auxiliary staff members.
- Maintain regular communication with residents, their families, and guardians regarding health statuses and care needs while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and best practices.
- Advocate for residents by educating them about their health conditions and clarifying care plans.
- Coordinate equipment and appointment requirements, including scheduling and sharing lab results with healthcare providers as necessary.
- Participate in interdisciplinary and payer source meetings to collaboratively address and resolve any concerns related to resident care.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (or equivalent education for licensing).
- Minimum of three years of nursing experience.
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license from the state of employment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (Motor Vehicle Report required).
